Before you install

Windows 10 or later, .NET Framework 4.8 or later, and an Internet connection are required. Installation and upgrades require administrator permission.

You can download without a website account. To register the client, obtain a domain key name and secret from the administrator who manages your hostname, or use the account credentials they provide. A hostname is the DNS name the client keeps updated; it is not automatically your account username.

Installing

  1. Run the installer and follow the prompts.
  2. On the final page, leave Install the background service ticked so updates continue while the app is closed.
  3. Select Register Client, enter your username or domain key name and password or key secret, then choose the hostnames to keep updated. You do not enter a separate domain name in the Windows client.

Updating

The client checks for new versions and notifies you when one is available. Use Help → Check for Updates to check manually. Download the latest installer from this page and run it — your settings and registration are kept. Client software upgrades currently require running the installer; DNS updates continue through the background service.
